VINCIE’S STORY
I knew exactly where I wanted to go, and I’m very, very happy because it was my choice.
“There’s only so long you can get down on your hands and knees, pulling up weeds in the garden and sweeping up jacaranda petals when you’re getting on in age. I wanted to be done with it.
I used to play Mahjong at Hunters Hill Lodge and enjoy some lunch with friends after. So, when the time came to take the next step and move in, I didn’t even have to think about it.
I knew exactly where I wanted to go, and I’m very, very happy because it was my choice. I loved my unit the minute I saw it. I just settled in straight away and continued life where I left off.
I get up at about 7am each day, have a cup of tea and some breakfast, tidy up and then head straight next door to Chico’s for a cup of coffee and a walk. I like to stay active. Twice a week, I join Theo’s exercise class at the Lodge, and I started pilates up the road.
My daughters couldn’t be happier with my choice of Hunters Hill Lodge. Some of their friends are having so much trouble finding somewhere for their parents to go.
When my family comes to visit, we sit outside or go to the big communal area downstairs. It has such wonderful views, plenty of space and visitors dogs are also welcome. At the Lodge, everyone is always happy to help. The staff are wonderful, the food is really good, it’s just a great place to be.
